The Biotechnology Department at Medors Biotech P Ltd. came into being on 1^st February 2006 under the visionary guidance of our Directors. This facility was created for establishing economically workable tissue culture based protocols for clonal mass propagation of Jatropha, Stevia and many other medicinal and ornamental plants. Our goal is to work out a complete and comprehensive module of Jatropha plantation along with the correct intercropping plant.

    We have already established a protocol for clonal multiplication of Jatropha and are on the pursuit for other plants. Another facility is coming up in the near future which will have enhanced capacity of producing about 10000 plants per day. Companies from different countries like Latin America have shown keen interest in our work and are proposing joint ventures with our company in the field of Jatropha based Biodiesel module.

  OBJECTIVES

• To propagate economically important plants by tissue culture.
• To culture plant material which is true to mother type.
• To contribute in quality improvement and production of uniform genotypes and disease free plants.
• To develop protocols for mass culture of Biodiesel yielding plants.
• To upgrade and propagate wide ranges of horticulture, floriculture and medicinal plant species.

INFRASTRUCTURE

 The R&D laboratory has International Standard Culture Rooms, Clean rooms for production jobs, media preparation room, autoclave etc.

Green House and Nursery facilities are available for hardening tissue culture plants.
