Department Of Biotechnology	Research and Development House of Biofuels Medors Research and Development Department focuses its research mainly in the field of   Bio-energies. We seek to better understand better factors influencing the environment .We are particularly interested in applying knowledge of Biotechnology to the assessment of a wide range of environmental issues, primarily those related to fuel consumption. Continued use of petroleum sourced fuels is now widely recognized as unsustainable because of depleting supplies and the contribution of these fuels to the accumulation of carbon dioxide etc in the environment. Renewable, carbon neutral, transport fuels are necessary for environment and economic sustainability. Biodiesel derived from oil crops is a potential renewable and carbon neutral alternative to petroleum fuels. Unfortunately, biodiesel from oil crops, waste cooking oil and animal fat cannot realistically satisfy even a small fraction of the existing demand for transport fuels, this creates requirement for Research on Biofuels.
